Psychologist-in-Training & Tamil Mental Health Educator
I'm a psychology graduate student at the University of East London, building a space where Tamil-speaking people can find real, practical mental health support โ in a language and culture that feels like home.
My work lives at the intersection of psychology, storytelling, and community. I believe everyone deserves to understand their mind and live with more peace.
Why I Started This
Growing up in a Tamil family, mental health was never something we talked about openly. Struggles were hidden, emotions were suppressed, and seeking help felt like weakness. I know this story โ because it was mine too.
When I discovered psychology, everything changed. I finally had words for what I'd been feeling. I had tools. I had understanding. And I thought โ every Tamil person deserves this. In their language. In a way that makes cultural sense.
That's why I created MindNotes, built my courses, and write The Mind Journal. Not as a perfect expert โ but as someone who is learning alongside you, committed to making psychology accessible, warm, and real.
If you've ever felt like your emotions were too much, your mind too loud, or your pain too invisible โ this space is for you.
The Values Behind My Work
Accessibility
Mental health knowledge should be free, simple, and available to everyone โ not locked behind jargon or expensive therapy rooms.
Cultural Sensitivity
Mental health looks different in South Asian communities. My work honours that โ it doesn't ignore it or try to copy a Western template.
Honesty over Perfection
I'm not a healed guru. I'm a real person doing the work. I share from that honest place โ because that's what actually helps people.
Let's Connect
Whether you want to work with me, read my writing, or just say hello โ I'd love to hear from you.
